Phew!!

I finally got to realize a lifelong dream last night by doing stand up for the very first time at Absolute Comedy. Big shout out to Jason Laurans, Josh Williams, Dan, Simon, Slim, Troy and EVERYONE at Absolute for the love. It’s amazing, I was supposed to be on for 6-7 minutes, but I had a microphone in my hands….. so that ended up being 9 minutes, SORRY!!! It truly is an art form, you can’t just waddle up and crack some knock knock jokes. Oh, I’ve been in the audience plenty of times for the wed night pro am nights and trust me, those who aren’t prepared will and do BOMB.

Had a few people laughing, but most importantly, got the chance to talk to actual stand up artists who told me exactly what needs to be done in order to try and make something out of all this. I am hooked and I’m already looking forward to my next set, this Monday night @ Absolute Comedy, great night out!! Make sure you check it out and SUPPORT STAND UP COMEDY IN OTTAWA!!!

It’s go time!

Hey gang, just wanted to extend the invite to catch me tomorrow night @ Absolute Comedy for my first and depends on how it goes, possibly LAST attempt at stand up comedy. I’ll dig out some of the old Rude Awakening characters like Alfie’s moustache, got some new stories about my Italian neighbour Nonna and maybe an appearance from Barry Gibb.
